My family and I listened to the story a few times already. Good narration and characters. It's lovely to hear the story read aloud and the glossary helps for learning the words no phrases. Gchi Miigwech

ever good!

this is one of the better apps for language learners for a couple reasons.

most apps teach learners in a style that is useful for..getting immersion situations..learning a couple useful phrases here and there. While that is useful when a person is starting to learn anisinaabemowin, learners will only know how to speak in questions or short phrases, much like a tourist in our own communities.

We need more Apps like this, full immersion with a glossary that can be checked after for clarification on words. it is Storytelling that has passed on our language all these generations, and honestly, who has better stories than our Elders?

for people that don't have access to local Elders, or fluent speakers, these are the kind of apps that will help us understand the language. Nishnaabemwin learners have precious few resources to learn from, and often the subject matter is very dry or tedious. It is challenging to read & listen to the same material over and over to get in the necessary repetition and practice. Short stories like this are absolutely wonderful, especially with the illustrations and sound effects (like dialling the telephone).

Please, please, please keep up the good work!

it is also especially nice to hear how the language is used out west, whether we say we speak ojibwe, saulteaux, odawa, mississauga, pottawatomie or whatever, the language is consistent wherever it is spoken and understood fluently, with more bright ideas and continued effort, we can all understand and speak as our ancestors once did.
