This is a Ripoff
I am quite literally only using this app because Apple has decided it cares more for making sales that keeping customers. I have treated my macbook like gold since high-school and now, two weeks before I finish my bachelors degree, I have had to spend an hour fighting with the app store to get this app. Why you may ask? Well, Apple has decided they will no longer be updating models past a certain age and, as a direct result, I realized much to my chagrin that I no longer have pages (I updated the program right off my computer apparently). So, here I sit, with a 15-page research paper due in 12 hours, which I lost along with pages and now have to re-write with this app. Of course, because it is the app store, it took me a full hour and 11 attempts to purchase the damn app in the first place. So, when I’m done with this degree in two weeks, I’m going to get a new and better computer (NOT an apple product), smash this computer with a hammer along with my equally useless iphone (because Mac’s new policies have now made both totally unusable in the future), and send the video in to Apple Support for my own satisfaction. So, thanks Apple, for making the end of my degree an unimaginable nightmare. I will be lucky if I pass this class because the above-mentioned paper is worth 60% of my mark. I will never purchase or use an apple product again.
Excellent lightweight word processor
If you need a lightweight word processor without all the bells and whistles and complexity of something like Word, look at Doc Writer. It’s similar in functionality to the beloved Bean, but with an up-to-date interface. It’s fast and doesn’t get in your way. This one has a permanent spot in my dock.
