Duolingo is Apple's 2013 App of the Year!
Learn Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and English. Totally fun. Totally free.
PC Magazine Editors' Choice for Language Learning: "Among iPhone apps for learning or practicing a language, you can't beat Duolingo."
"Far and away the best free language-learning app." —The Wall Street Journal
"We’ve also tried a few other methods such as book learning and Rosetta Stone, both of which bombed. That’s why I jumped at the chance to try Duolingo. And believe me, it’s addictive." —FluentIn3Months.com
Duolingo is changing the way people learn languages.
With Duolingo, you learn a language completely free, without ads or hidden charges. You have fun while you learn, leveling up and competing with friends. You have the opportunity to translate real-world texts in the language you are learning, and in doing so, help us translate the Web into other languages.
Yeah, it's pretty sweet.
What's New in Version 3.2
• Sometimes smaller is better - the app size has been nearly cut in half.
• Hello new people! Russian, Turkish, Hungarian, and Dutch speakers can now learn English on Duolingo.
• More general awesomeness than before (i.e. we fixed some bugs).
If possible could you please add hungarian as a language to learn? And maybe as well Swahili? Thanks
So, it's really awesome, but I (along with many other people) would really appreciate it if you could add some more languages. PLEASE!!! You already have Spanish, German, Italian (which is awesome by the way), Portuguese, and French. That's great, but at the rate I'm learning this stuff, I'll probably be done learning those languages in about 3-4 months... Then what? Please add some languages, especially :
- Japanese (that's a huge one)
- Chinese (that's another huge one)
- Greek (that's my last huge one)
So if you could please add that, it would just make it THAT much more fun to download.
Not enough languages!
My friend recommended it to me, saying it's really good (she's learning French on it). But there are so few languages! Chinese should definitely be included. So Chinese people can learn English, and vice versa too.
