EBSCOhost databases and discovery technologies are the most-used, premium online information resources for tens of thousands of institutions worldwide. This free app ensures that iPhone and iPod Touch users get the most from searching premium EBSCOhost database content, provided courtesy of your library.

The convenience and rich functionality of the app enables users to:
•Choose which databases to search
•Limit results to full text or peer reviewed
•Sort by relevance or date
•Retrieve full text results in HTML and/or PDF formats
•Save results for offline access at a later date
•Email results to self or others
•Automatically save 25 most recent searches
•View cover flow display of results

To use the EBSCOhost app, access EBSCOhost as you typically would via your library website or corporate intranet. Click the link at the bottom of any EBSCOhost page to email yourself the key to the app.

Needs Personal Folder Sign-in

This app works fine. However it would be more of a compliment to the regular web site if the user could access personal folders they have created.

Clumby Sign In

The sign in process is clunky, I am not sure who exactly will have the patience to go through this, not your typical student or researcher.

Your app instructionshould read:
1. Get the authentication key from your library, by going to your library page, accessing an Ebsco database (which unless it is labeled Ebsco at the host library this instruction is also unhelpful, perhaps provide database name examples)
2. Click on the tiny link at the bottom of the page.
3. Send yourself and email
4. Download the app
5. Use the registration key link from your email
6 - do all this on a tiny smart phone screen

Please build in the registration through your library directly into the app, having to go outside of the app to use the app is clumbsy and poor user interface design. You are asking your users to do too much to access content.

Another problem with this app is how exactly can you download eBooks from the eBook collection? Currently all I see is an option to save, and then all it is saving is a record. (And the only way I can find your eBook collection is to search for a specific title).

Hope you are still doing some kind of development on this app; it needs work.

Love it for the iPhone - but PLEASE ipad too!

I love this app for the ease-of-use. That being said, I would prefer to use it on my iPad. The screen is bigger, and it is easier to read the text.
