Epicurious Recipes & Shopping List
By Condé Nast Digital
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Packed with free features and more than 35,000 of the highest-quality recipes, there’s a reason why home cooks have downloaded the award-winning Epicurious app more than 10 million times since the App Store opened. And our latest version is the ultimate food utility, faster, friendlier and redesigned to be even easier to use.
With our latest release, the app features the world's first intelligent kitchen timer for the Apple Watch. (Don't worry, iPhone users — it works on the phone, too.) Choose from 40+ ingredients from one of five categories — steak, vegetables, chicken & pork, seafood, eggs — and our custom timer will tell you how long just about anything takes to cook. We'll remind you to flip something over and give you pointers on how to tell when it's cooked perfectly.
Finally, an answer to the question: "Hey, is this done yet?"
You can also:
• Store your favorite recipes across all your devices with our recipe box and shopping list.
• Search more than 30,000 of the best recipes from publishers like Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Random House, and more—for free.
• Find out what vegetables are fresh and in-season with our Seasonal Ingredient Finder. NOTE: This features uses your location.
• Go hands-free in the kitchen, using your voice to control the app with Cook Mode.
• Browse inspired recipe collections that update as the seasons change and holidays approach.
We highly recommend you upgrade your operating system on a regular basis. The new Epicurious app for iPhone and iPad works best on IOS 8.

What's New in Version 5.0
We went away and spent the last couple months fixing some bugs. A lot of bugs. Like all of the bugs we could find. So, if you're a fan of improved performance and stability? You'll love this build. And if you're taking great pictures of the food you're cooking from the app, we want to know about it. Just use the hashtag #cookit. Thanks for supporting us!
I recommend this to all of my friends
Tastefully curated recipes. I cook with confidence thanks to this website/app. Seriously! I've made countless recipes and they've all turned out amazing. The app is easy to navigate, and I love the recipe box and shopping list tools. 10/10
A few more features and could be 5*
I love the website and am really thankful I can sync my recipe box. That said, a few features are still lacking:
-ability to review recipes from iPad/iPhone
-ability to add your own recipe notes to your recipe box as you can do online
-better sorting and searching of recipe box
-ability to sort recipes by date added
-better shopping list for recipes!
-menu recommendations (sides for mains etc)
Once those are added, four stars.
If you also came up with a way to easily import my own recipes it would be five stars.
Still Some Bugs
This version is much improved, considering all it would do is crash for a very long time. I just tried it again after almost a year hiatus because my Recipe Box wasn’t complete when I accessed it on my computer..
Problem 1: I was so glad to see that my recipe box was still intact on the iPhone app. My recipes don’t show up on Safari on my iMac though. Hope they don’t completely disappear. There have been dependability problems in the past...
Problem 2: I selected a recipe and tried to create a shopping list. Nothing showed up in the list, even with 2 different recipes.
