The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with the FreeStyle Libre Sensor. Now you can monitor your glucose on your phone without routine finger pricks! [1] Check your glucose by holding your phone near your FreeStyle Libre Sensor.

You can use the app to:

* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow, and glucose history
* Add notes to track your food, insulin use, and exercise
* See glucose reports, including your Ambulatory Glucose Profile
* Connect to health care professionals and carers with LibreView and LibreLinkUp [2]

Why prick when you can scan?[1]

Compatibility may vary between phones and operating systems. Learn more about compatible phones at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

If you like, you can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app and the FreeStyle Libre Reader with the same Sensor. Start the Sensor with the Reader first, then scan with your phone within one hour. Remember that FreeStyle LibreLink and Readers do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your Sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data.

FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a FreeStyle Libre Sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the app. If you require a printed User’s Manual, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.

Learn more about FreeStyle LibreLink at http://FreeStyleLibre.com.

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system, as the App does not provide one. A finger prick test using a blood glucose meter is required during times of rapidly changing glucose levels, when interstitial fluid glucose levels may not accurately reflect blood glucose levels, or if hypoglycaemia or impending hypoglycaemia is reported by the Sensor, or when symptoms do not match the Sensor readings.

[2] Use of the FreeStyle LibreLink and LibreLinkUp apps requires registration with the LibreView system, which is provided by Abbott and Newyu, Inc.

It’s about time!

This app should be made so that it can be used on iPhone 5 and higher.

We're really sorry to disappoint you and wish we could have offered this app for older smartphones but we are limited by the near-field communication (NFC) functionality that is required on your phone to operate FreeStyle LibreLink. The FreeStyle LibreLink app is compatible with Near-field Communication (NFC) enabled iPhone 7 and higher running iOS 11 or higher. See the Compatibility Guide and learn more at www.FreeStyleLibre.ca

Enjoying the app, wish it was more insulin-pump friendly

I really enjoy using the application to scan my sensor, and I like the ability to capture more data through comments.

I wish that the app had an option to tailor its settings to clients on insulin pump therapy, for example, an option to enter insulin doses down to 0.05 units, entering basal rates for a better idea of insulin on board, site change (check box), and temporary basal rates (duration, and option for units per hour or increase/decrease by percentage). I think it would be nice if the food intake section had an option for comments, separate from general comments.

Thank you for your feedback. We will pass this on to the appropriate team. As with any new technology, Abbott is researching a wide variety of potential applications.

Works 'ok'... Doesn't always scan, no Health integration

App works as advertised, but is fairly limited. Can't zoom in on graph to view data points. Has difficulty scanning sensor if not exactly centred. It's 2019... why is there no Apple Health integration?
