Not a good experience
This is one of the worst newspaper apps I have ever used. It is difficult to navigate and definitely not user friendly. I subscribe to the Globe and read it in paper form every day but I would like the option of reading it electronically...however the digital format is so bad in this app that I am unlikely to read the paper on my iPad. The G&M really needs to improve this app.
An absolutely terrible APP. Clumsy to use, no apparent organization. You get page by page pictures of a newspaper, which are unreadable on small screens, then have to hunt and peck your way through the paper.
NY Times is far, far better way to make a newspaper available online.
I give it -5 on. +0 to +5 scale. Shameful embarrassment for the TGAM.
Pages turn too slowly & paper layout not good for e-reading
After the Dec 2014 update the pages turn too slowly. In other e-reading apps I can flick my thumb and the page turns are more snappy, yet with this one it is this dreadfully slow transition that slows down as it goes. I finally got tired of this poor experience and decided to cancel my subscription.
I didn’t like the double spread centre layouts either as often pictures and text would cross pages, which makes it difficult to read having to keep switch pages back and forth
