Could be much better
This would be ok if it were one tenth or one fifth its present cost ($9.99). I've used it frequently for a month or so now, and most of what I'm looking for is found here, though there have been a fair number of unsuccessful searches. One huge draw-back is the lack of gender specification: it does not indicate the gender of any German nouns. Another serious draw-back is how difficult it is to find phrases. You have to enter the phrase EXACTLY as it is entered in this dictionary, otherwise you'll get nothing. As an example, to get a translation for "a sight for sore eyes," you have to start with "a sight". If you type in "sore eyes," or even just "sight for sore eyes" (omitting "a"), you get nothing. That's an unnecessary complication that makes finding translations difficult. It seems to me that the developers have little knowledge or experience with actual translation work or language learning. I wish I had bought something else.
