PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) is the first scientifically backed activity metric that guides you to better health. PAI takes your personal profile and heart rate data and translates it into a PAI score based on your last 7 days of activity. The goal of maintaining 100 PAI or more is ideal for maximum health benefits and protection from cardiovascular disease.

Because PAI is based on heart rate, it tracks all kinds of exercise – more than steps.

• It’s Simple: All you need to do is track a single metric that makes sense of your heart rate and keeps you on the path to good health.

• It’s Motivating: Encourages you to push yourself more and exercise more regularly.

• It’s Scientific: Research has shown that maintaining a PAI score of 100 or above can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by up to 25% and extend lives by an average of 5 years.

• It’s Personalized: It’s appropriate for all fitness levels, and it adapts as you progress.

Apple Watch Support:
• Start a PAI activity from your wrist with Apple Watch.
• Apple Health integration to read heart rate, calories, steps and distance during PAI activity sessions.

Needs more data features

Updating my review after months of no updates or feedback. App is okay. But needs:

-Averages for Weeks/Month/Year for every piece of data it records, including HR
-Easier way to navigate days and compare to other days in the week, perhaps condense entire week in a single screen and navigate each day from there (currently you have to scroll up and use the arrows. Even then you can only see one day at a time. Very tedious and not efficient)
-Quick summary of some data in "Home" tab, most of this space is wasted with the excessively huge PAI scoreboard. Example: "You slept XX hours last night" or "You burned XX calories"
-KEEP LOGS FOR MORE THAN A WEEK. Look, I knew the point of the PAI score is to track your week but how am I supposed to know how my overall health is doing if I can't see how active I was a month ago? Nonsense, defeats the purpose of making activity a lifestyle.
-Better syncing capabilities, can't count how many times I don't get notifications on my watch because it's not synced

A final message: The SLICE is such a good piece of hardware, I don't understand why the app is so basic (almost too basic). Really disappointed in the fact the app is totally undervalued by its developers. Fitbit wins in that aspect. Have a great day, please update soon.

I have nothing but good things to say! Great customer support, app always functions as it should, my band always works, love how it is water proof! I love how this works, as in giving me points based on my heart rate over steps that I could accomplish as slow as a stubborn donkey. I love that I can use it rowing, biking, lifting, and it works! The only thing I don’t love is how the company is no longer going to produce bands. Instead they are going to develop the app to be used for those who own an apple or similar device. If I could afford an Apple Watch I would not have found this awesome band!

Good idea, poor implementation.

Terrible bluetooth implementation. Loses pairing daily. Iphone will be connected to the watch under bluetooth devices but the app fails to connect. Watch needs to be factory reset every time to paid again, losing any stored data for the week. Happens every day, sometimes multiple times. The Slice watch also misses the heartrate quite often during rowing on the ergo, despite trying various positions and looser or tighter. The strap also catches on sweaters or jackets easily popping it off. Good idea with PAI but poor implementation all around.

** Edit ** latest firmware seems to have corrected the bluetooth problem for me. Sometime around June/July the disconnects stopped and I have not had to re-pair the device since. Huge improvement!
