Did you ever wonder why the periodic table is shaped the way it is, what gives each element its own unique set of properties, or even how elements combine to make everyday objects such as a cup of coffee? With “NOVA Elements,” explore an interactive periodic table, play a game hosted by David Pogue, or watch the two-hour NOVA program, “Hunting the Elements.”

Doesn't work in Canada.
Should not be allowed in Canada iTunes. This is bs.
Videos not available in Canada
The color scheme of the periodic table makes it almost impossible to view, when adding components to make an element the is no guide to indicate the number of neutrons to add and the videos are not available in Canada. No effort or play testing went into this app.
This app is a perfect resource for my science 9 chemistry unit. It offers a simple to navigate interface with interactive investigation of the periodic table. I especially like that we can build an atom and see the electron energy shells grow. It would be nice to see the nucleus particles but the essential pieces are in place. I also really love the chance to build and see molecules in a few everyday items. The feature that allows a person to rotate and manipulate the molecule is especially neat because it allows one the opportunity to begin discussions about bonds, double bonds and the models scientists use to represent these concepts. Let's not forget the amazing videos! All of this for FREE in one fantastically put together and well thought out app.
