With PEAR for Apple Watch, you’ll be able to download your favorite PEAR workout, track distance, calories burned, and heart rate all from your wrist. Also, with the new Apple Watch app you can choose to work out with or without your iPhone.
Offer will expire in 30 days and any downloaded non-premium content will be disabled, unless membership is renewed. Memberships are $3.99 monthly or $29.99 annually. Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Your membership renews automatically through your iTunes account, unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. There is no increase in cost when renewing. Memberships can be managed and auto-renewal turned off in Account Settings within iTunes after purchase. Once purchased, the current period cannot be cancelled. Not what I expected
The concept is great, however, after using the app now for a year, the flaws become quite obvious. I am using this with the Apple Watch 2nd generation, unfortunately the heart rate detection freezes every few minutes, an issue not apparent with other apps.
Also, the zones suggested are difficult to achieve, it is almost impossible to get from zone 2 to 4 in 10 seconds, or back from 5 to 2 in 20 seconds. Even harder to reach zone 4 lifting weights with 30 seconds suggested breaks.
There should also be an option to minimize the needless talk, gets boring to listen to the non exercise related issues every time.
