Editors’ Choice

A rare kind of triumph, Prune takes a simple idea—pruning trees—and shapes it into a creative, deeply playable puzzle game. The visuals echo the style of Japanese painting in striking fashion, and the beautiful music instills a contemplative tone as you swipe to trim the limbs of a rapidly growing tree and guide it around obstacles. There’s no frantic pace, no demanding skills to master—only a quietly bewitching and unforgettable experience.

My opinion

The game was really sweet and relaxing, but I wish there where more levels and maybe the music would be just a bit updated, I like it and all but maybe make it so each level as different a type of music. Something to go with each levels own person style. But all together was a great game, I would recommend this game to people who just wanna do something to relax.

Prune : my review

A lot of people say that this game is trash, that you shouldn’t pay 5$ for that and that it shouldn’t be a game of the year. Well let me talk about my experience.

First, let’s resume the game. Prune will ask you a bit of strategy and to relax. I can’t really define this game, it’s unique, all I can say is that it’s relaxing.
Basically, the gameplay can be resume in cutting a tree to make him grow so it can reach the sun or the stars.
Even if cutting a tree can be fun a few minutes, I highly recommend you to avoid rushing the game. It’s made to relax, so use it properly, no one is behind you with a chronometer.

Also, we can add that is such games, it can be frustrating to be stuck, and that’s why you can skip levels if you find them too hard. Some people may not like it, but it’s way better if you can just relax and not have that stress of searching for the solution.

With only the gameplay, does it worth 5$ ? Sadly, no, and that’s why you can see all those negative comments. The game also don’t have so much levels, however, it’s always fun to play a simply level you’ve already done and just relax while making your tree reaching the stars.

But the gameplay ain’t the strength of this game. Even if it’s not clear at first, at the end of the game, you understand the full story and get a few life’s lessons. I won’t spoil you, but it’s basically about pollution and helping each other.

So for all the sensations that game gave me, I’m happy of spending 5$ on such amazing game and I hope you’ll have such good time as I had while playing Prune.

Remember, make sure to relax. Play it whenever you need, but if you feel that it’s getting on your nerves cause you can’t find the solution, just leave it, you’ll come back soon enough.
