Still has problems - Feb 2018


07 Feb 2018 - still not functioning very well. It has great difficulty auto focussing on the cheque you are trying to deposit. You have to wait forever for the manual icon to show up to take a picture of the cheque. If you want to make this a better app allow people access immediately to the manual icon to take the picture of the cheque. It is very frustrating having to wait for the tablet or iPad to figure out the app will not auto focus and then wait for another screen to say it can’t focus and then yet another screen for the manual icon to take a picture to show up. This is not rocket science, a very easy fix. Let’s see if RBC actually listens to its customers.

Why is it this app cannot tell the difference between portrait and landscape on the iPad. When trying to take a picture of a check to deposit it continually tells me to change to landscape. However the iPad is in landscape. The only way to get this to work is to put it into portrait and then shift the iPad back to landscape and then the app seems to recognize that the iPad is in landscape. Quite annoying! With all the money RBC has they should be able to pay someone to fix this.

Thanks for taking the time to review and provide feedback. Do you have the most up-to-date version of iOS installed? If not, then you should grab the update and see if it allows mobile cheque deposits to work correctly. Absolute Trash - only desktop site displays up-to-date info.


So it turns out only the desktop version has accurate account information. Any app or mobile site used by RBC does not contain information needed to bank day to day, and routinely only contains information that is 1-2 business days behind.

Why is this information not provided in mobile versions? What other features (i.e. security) are missing from mobile? If it were possible, this app would receive ZERO out of 5 stars. RBC Mobile is being deleted after writing this review, and if you haven’t already, you should delete it too!
