Investigate the Royal Ontario Museum’s collection in ways never possible before! Use 13 different scopes to “open the case” and examine museum objects right in front of you: Animate a dino Skin a dodo, X-Ray a cat mummy…and that’s just the beginning!
OPEN THE CASE AND INVESTIGATE
Every artifact or specimen at the ROM represents a larger story about life, the planet, or history. Make discoveries using Scopify’s 13 different scopes and then learn what those discoveries tell us about the object and the world around you.
13 DIFFERENT SCOPES
X-Ray the cat mummy and see for yourself how it really died. Skin the T. rex and find out why it was softer than you ever thought. Animate the dodo and find out how it moved and why it was an easy target. Or Decode the mummy case to reveal the secrets of the person lying inside.
Other scopes include Periscope, Restore, Magnify, Discover, Spectralize, Develop, 3D, CT Scan, and Compare.

Ratings and Reviews
The areas you have to scan either do not work or missing. It makes for a frustrating experience. Documentation is also poor.
Creates a thoroughly enjoyable treasure hunt
My boys loved using the app and it lead us to areas of the ROM we wouldn't have thought of going to otherwise.
Scanned multiple QR codes throughout the museum, each one said the code was invalid and could not scan. Nifty, but seriously broken.
