About Allison

The first rumblings of Mexico City pop-punk band Allison began when schoolmates guitarist/vocalist Erik Canales and bassist/vocalist Manuel "Manolin" Avila started playing and writing material together in 2002. After settling on a lineup featuring guitarist Abraham "Fear" Jarquin and drummer Diego Stommel, Allison began recording their first disc, at a time when the group's performance career boomed. They were invited to play for Extreme Fest in Peru, and were then offered a slot on the Vans Tour, an important tour with more than 30 stops. A number of big-venue performances later, the young group was signed to Sony BMG, which released their self-titled debut record in 2006. Sophomore album Memorama arrived in 2008. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
