About Archer Prewitt

Kentucky-born musician and illustrator Archer Prewitt co-founded the Coctails, a now-legendary quartet whose eclectic, Martin Denny-inspired kitsch-pop predated the lounge revival movement by a good half-decade. After relocating to Chicago in the early '90s, Prewitt became a member of the acclaimed post-rock combo the Sea and Cake. He released his debut solo album, In the Sun, in 1997, followed by White Sky (1999), Gerroa Songs (2000), Three (2002), and Wilderness (2005). He has also enjoyed success as a graphic artist. ~ Jason Ankeny
