Beep Beep

About Beep Beep

Beep Beep was initially formed at the turn of the 2000s after the dissolution of Omaha band Gabardine. Eric Bemberger and Chris Hughes stayed together as songwriting partners and still had a home on the then burgeoning Saddle Creek label. Beep Beep’s first LP, 2004’s BUSINESS CASUAL, was a loud, angular pastiche of post-punk-inspired art rock, putting them in between the mold of labelmates like Cursive and the Faint. In the ensuing half-decade, the band went through rotating member changes, and the sound began to reflect something more mature and winsome, highlighting more delicate influences such as Kate Bush and OMD.
