In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first musical memories I have are of my dad playing guitar and singing and of my uncle playing blues piano. I grew up surrounded by musicians in my family and so I caught the bug early. I asked if I could start talking piano lessons at age 7. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Paul Simon, Graceland Tom Petty, Wildflowers Wilco, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot These albums all changed my life. They each push boundaries of what pop music can be. Rich, thought provoking lyrics. At times, experimental. At times, genre defying. All the while, brilliant pop melodies shine through. Absolute must haves. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lost In the Rhythm” This is my first solo release where I'm fully producing & mixing myself. I wrote and recorded it in 2020, but it's just now finally seeing the light of day. I've come a long way since then, but I'm proud of this restrained late-night indie dance jam. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Probably the Kid Tiger album release show with my band Daniel Ellsworth & The Great Lakes at Exit In in Nashville, TN in 2016. It was our first sold out hometown show and the moment that we really felt like we were hitting our stride. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The dream would be to play either The Ryman in Nashville or The Hollywood Bowl in LA. Never say never, right?
