Dear Jack

About Dear Jack

The Italian pop/rockers known as Dear Jack formed in 2012 and comprised guitarists Francesco Pierozzi and Lorenzo Cantarini, bassist Alessandro Presti, drummer Riccardo Ruiu, and vocalist Alessio Bernabei. The band promoted itself online in its early days, going through several lineup changes before being discovered and featured on the talent show Amici di Maria de Filippi. Following this television success, the group signed with Uproar Music Publishing for the release of its 2014 debut album, Domani è un Altro Film, Pt. 1. The brief album quickly soared to the top, spending seven weeks at number one (and nearly 20 weeks in the Italian Top Ten). Touring of the festival circuit ensued, and Dear Jack readied a follow-up in the form of second album Domani è un Altro Film, Pt. 2. Released in early 2015, it didn't reach the top spot, but spent many weeks inside the Top Five of the Italian album charts. The group also performed their single "Il Mondo Esplode Tranne Noi" at Italy's famous Sanremo music festival. ~ Fred Thomas
