About Diana Krall

Jazz pianist and singer-songwriter Diana Krall started playing at age four and was soon recognized as a prodigy.

∙ She studied with the renowned jazz pianist Jimmy Rowles, who urged her to also pursue a career as a singer.
∙ Her 1996 breakthrough album, All For You: A Dedication To the Nat King Cole Trio, remained on the Billboard Jazz chart for 70 weeks.
∙ Starting with 1997’s Love Scenes, she’s the only jazz vocalist to have eight albums enter Billboard’s Jazz chart at No. 1.
∙ Krall made her songwriting debut with The Girl in the Other Room, encouraged by her husband, singer-songwriter Elvis Costello, to record her own material.
∙ In 2009, she produced and played piano on Barbra Streisand’s hit album of jazz standards, Love Is the Answer.
∙ In addition to selling more than 15 million albums, Krall has won three Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards.
∙ She was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2004 and named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2005.
