About Espectrostatic

Espectrostatic is the horror movie soundtrack-inspired project of Alex Cuervo, better known for his work over the years with punk and garage acts such as the Hex Dispensers, A Feast of Snakes, and Blacktop. After releasing a couple of EPs under his own name in 2011 -- Hallo Mein Name Ist Alex Cuervo and 4-Song Solo EP -- that revealed a darker, synth-driven side to his music, Cuervo went further down that path with Espectrostatic's 2012 debut EP, Skeletactical. Paying homage to greats like John Carpenter, Goblin, and Tangerine Dream, the EP's eerie atmospheres laid the groundwork for a self-titled full-length, which arrived in November 2013. ~ Heather Phares
