About Hellbound Glory

Led by singer/songwriter Leroy Virgil, Hellbound Glory is a rough-and-rowdy country band that skirts outlaw clichés. Virgil was raised in Aberdeen, Washington, where he played in a group called Soylint Green. After relocating to Reno, Nevada, he formed the first line-up of Hellbound Glory. The band's first album, Scumbag Country, appeared in 2008, with its successor, Old Highs New Lows, released two years later. Damaged Goods followed in 2011, receiving a boost when Kid Rock selected the band to play on his Chillin' the Most Cruise, and had the band support him in 2013. Virgil took a stripped-down acoustic detour for 2014's LV EP. The Shooter Jennings-produced Pinball followed in 2017. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
