About Human Nature

Australia’s top boy band have gone from busking in Sydney to being a Las Vegas staple in their three-plus decades together. In 1989, New South Wales brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney hooked up with schoolmates Phillip Burton and Toby Allen to create The 4Trax. The quartet’s slick harmonies and soulful voices, which they honed during years of street performances, led to a record deal; in 1996, a year after rechristening themselves as Human Nature, they released their debut, Telling Everybody. The group continued to release Australian smashes over the ’90s and early 2000s, and in 2005 they went fully retro with The Motown Record, a love letter to ’60s R&B. That album was a blockbuster, and Human Nature followed it with more throwback releases that showcased their vocal interplay. Motown legend Smokey Robinson sponsored their first Vegas residency, which launched in 2009 and introduced the group to American audiences; in the years that followed, Human Nature split their time between headlining Vegas and touring the world. Burton took a hiatus from the band in 2021, the remaining trio continuing their Las Vegas engagement for the holidays.
