About Iman Omari

Alternative R&B artist Iman Omari is a songwriter, vocalist, and producer whose predominantly relaxed output is a synthesis of live instrumentation and samples. A Los Angeles native who later operated out of New Jersey, he made inroads through work with Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla $ign, and Mac Miller. Around the turn of the 2010s, he began to issue a prolific quantity of his own material. His higher profile releases, amid numerous download-only projects, include the MoRuf collaboration Euphoria (2012) and High-Loops & Higher-Loops (2015). The latter's "Omari's Mood" was used during Lamar's February 2016 performance at the 58th Grammy Awards. Later that year, Omari appeared on Gensu Dean and Denmark Vessey's Whole Food and Cavalier's Lemonade. ~ Andy Kellman
