About Robin Guthrie

Scottish guitarist Robin Guthrie first made his name as the guiding light of the iconic 1980s dream pop trio Cocteau Twins. He was also a key figure in the 4AD house band This Mortal Coil and later produced labelmates Lush and other bands. The dissolution of Guthrie's relationship with singer Liz Fraser ended Cocteau Twins following 1996's MILK AND KISSES, whereupon he began a new duo, Violet Indiana, with singer Siobhan de Mare. His solo career began with 2003's instrumental effort IMPERIAL. Guthrie also composes soundtracks for films, including Gregg Araki's MYSTERIOUS SKIN and Dany Saadia's 3:19.
