John Prine, Bruised Orange Johnny Cash, At Folsom Prison (Live) Live Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Will the Circle Be Unbroken, Vol. 2 These three albums have shaped what I strive and aspire for as an artist. Tell us why you chose this song. “Grindstone” This song was written at a time of significant change in my and my family's life. A time of milestones and transition. It is both a lament; wondering what might have been, and a fierce pride in what is. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I so clearly remember the night I had the honor of opening a show for one of my heroes, Corb Lund. He was more gracious than he needed to be. We spent hours in the green room after the show telling old road stories and talking music. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have not had the chance to tour on a tour bus as of yet. But the time is coming! The little bunks, the old movies, the late-night jam sessions, the camaraderie, and a new town every morning.
