Stockholm-based Small Feet forge resonant, folk-rock-inspired indie rock. With a voice that's three-quarters Neil Young with one-quarter America's Gerry Beckley, singer, guitarist, and songwriter Simon Stålhamre started the project, eventually partnering with American bassist Jacob Snavely (Dag för Dag) and adding (a mostly jazz) drummer Christopher Cantillo to complete the trio. Recorded mainly in an 18th century cabin on an island in Stockholm, their at-once immediate and hypnotic, contemplative debut, From Far Enough Away Everything Sounds Like the Ocean, was released on Seattle's Barsuk Records in the summer of 2015. ~ Marcy Donelson
