About Wild Rivers

Canadian combo Wild Rivers blend the sweet harmonies of singers Devan Glover and Khalid Yassein with a relaxed, earthy folk-rock tone that takes cues from both contemporary indie folk and classic acts of the early-'70s singer/songwriter era. Following a self-released 2016 LP, the group signed with the Nettwerk label and released the 2018 EP Eighty-Eight.

The band grew out of the creative partnership of Glover (vocals) and Yassein (vocals, guitar), who initially worked as a folk duo, billing themselves simply as Devan & Khalid. Based in Toronto, they soon expanded their sound, adding bassist Andrew Oliver and drummer Julien Laferriere to the mix. Under the Wild Rivers name, the quartet issued a self-titled album in 2016 that subsequently racked up millions of plays on the major streaming platforms. They toured hard and eventually landed a deal with Nettwerk, who issued their 2018 EP Eighty-Eight, which they recorded between Nashville and Ontario. The following year, Wild Rivers added a pair of singles to their growing catalog in the heartfelt "Moving Target" and "I Do."
