A Quick-Start Guide to Quit Procrastination
The abridged version of “Quit Putting It Off!”

If you’re having trouble facing that project, this task, that conversation, or any aspiration - in short, you’re procrastinating - then this is the guide for you.
Without delving into too much detail, it covers the kinds of excuses and simple forms procrastination - where you have a habit to say "later, later.” Of course, this always results in a rush at the end. But it also goes into the deeper, more complex forms of procrastination where you need to figure out what your block is, to resolve it. Otherwise, that thing isn’t ever gonna get done - and that can end up costing you.
The major tone of this book is supportive, as we ALL are subject to unnecessary delays. There’s no sense in having anything but a sense of humour and positivity about it!
But that doesn't mean we shy away from being stern with ourselves if that is what it takes.
Procrastination is self-indulgence. We all need to keep our eyes on the more distant reward: of accomplishing and becoming what we really want to be. To help us on the way, we need to encourage and reward ourselves for "good behaviour," and not just good results.
This eBook is 32 pages long, including a short bibliography. This abridged version doesn’t include the worksheets and exposition of the longer book "Quit Putting It Off," coming up for publication in January 2019.
“I’m a huge procrastinator. At work, I’m in charge of our Health and Safety audits. A lot of it is over my head, but we’re a small company, so I’m teaching myself how to do it, and sometimes it’s boring so I don’t want to. I was looking for hints to get out of the rut of negative thinking. I like to think about others, not myself - a self-worth thing - and I liked reading the way you wrote it. You gave examples of the types of procrastination and it clicked. It made me feel like I was not alone. Other people suffer the same doubts or over-expectations as me.” - June Hamel, an early reader of Quit Putting It Off! – the unabridged version of this e-book.
