“I have never believed in going strictly by the book. My six-foot-two frame has an assortment of scars and marks that readily attest to that. It’s the main reason I’ve never been offered a higher position on a big-draft. But, when things really go to hell, I’m always the first one to get the call. They trust me with their lives, but not their jobs.”

Fatal Boarding

I'm sorry but I rarely stop reading a book. I was on page 129 and I was not pulled into the story. Too much description, not enough intrigue.

An accidental prequel but a good one

I came to this authors books accidentally. I read what I now see by release date as book 2 first and was hooked. Read through the whole remainder of the Series, then read the series about the suit and the salantians ( they both have TV or Film written all over them, I won't be surprised when it happens. As an actor and writer I know if the right eyes see these 2 series it will happen.) I'm not a fan of the newest adventure ... In the creepy house ... So I dropped it and went hunting for the authors page ... Nothing... Then hunted Facebook... Nothing, which I plan to fix with a fan page soon. Then I found this book , realizing I missed one. And was glued to another wonderful trip before bed every night with the amiable Adrian , some flirty female again, and my personal fave the adorable RJ. Then the enigmatic alien adopters of earth, and yet some other horrid vile beast that screws things up so bad that they have 3 separate challenges to overcome . This one is not as good as my fave trip with the skull. But it's a great stand alone read, start, or as I found it prequel to the characters, even though my beloved Danicka doesn't appear here. I highly recommend this series and the one with the nutty professor and analy retentive car robot . They are good solid sci fi reads that are the best kept secret in scifi and sadly not seen by many... But their misfortune is our secret ! There are several spots where there is error in the name RJ being autocorrected to Jr. And a number of what looks like spell check switched words which are a bit irritating but you get passed it easily because of the rich detail and enticing story. Each chapter leaving you with..omg how the hell do they get out of this! ... My one wish is .. More , it's so horrible that these and the afore mentioned salantians got dropped for another novel series... One I can't get into at all.. But I suspect the author sees His? Her? Reviews and will eventually get round to what their fans want... Money talks. And these are so underpriced it's kind of sad. I hope he/she sees this and goes through all the edits and tossed away ideas we wrighters leave lingering put in space , and brings both series's a new adventure very soon.
