Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: The structureless, meandering, slow-motion endlessness of Kubrick combined with the fuzzy, cuddly mindlessness of Spielberg.
Fresh: It's astounding because, like so much of Kubrick's work, it resurrects the sense of cinema as an ongoing emergency.
Fresh: The most controversial conversation-piece to hit the dumbed-down American movie scene since heaven knows when.
Fresh: Technically dazzling yet emotionally accessible to the inner child in everyone from 9 to 90.
The movie was interesting, but it was slow and ¾ way I was wishing it would come to an end. The Acting was good, with Spielberg I thought it would have been better.
Part Kubrick (gritty), part Spielberg (fluffy). A bit inconsistent but still a very good movie.
