Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: [Lautner's] not a terrible actor, but if he wants a career after the Twilight fades, he'll pick better films. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Sep 23, 2011

Rotten: "Abduction" is just the third movie John Singleton has directed in the past decade, and it contains neither the passion nor the competence of his two previous genre efforts - "2 Fast 2 Furious" and "Four Brothers." – Glenn Whipp, Los Angeles Times, Sep 23, 2011

Rotten: Sadly, it's impossible to fake the faintest enthusiasm for this picture, which is a fourth-rate Hollywood thriller that bungles a lot of thievery from better movies. – Andrew O'Hehir,, Sep 23, 2011

Rotten: A blockhead espionage thriller from director-for-hire John Singleton (Boyz N the Hood). – Benjamin Mercer, Village Voice, Sep 25, 2011

This movie was fantastic. Taylor Lautner is amazing! <3

Surprisingly great

A few cheesy scenes existed but despite all the bad reviews I watched this and was pleasantly delighted. It was somewhat predictable at times but had fun twists and turns also. Great cast great acting and just enough suspense to keep it going without dragging on forever. A little bit of romance a little bit of comedy and a effect amount of suspense thriller. He is a good actor and portrayed the character well.

Good Action

I saw this when it was in the theatres, and enjoyed it for what it was- an action flick. If you like to watch fights, and chases, and the odd explosion or two, then give it a try. If you're looking for epic love or oscar worthy acting, then skip it.
