In way over her head but determined to succeed, Annie leads a hilarious hodgepodge of bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to the big event. Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: The star and co-writer of Bridesmaids, Kristen Wiig, puts herself and her female co-stars through the comedy wringer.
Fresh: Through a combination of smart performances and scurrilous gags Bridesmaids yanks the buddy comedy from the hands of its traditional owners.
Fresh: The big, brash laughs are coupled with a smart insight into women's friendships.
Fresh: [Wiig's] is the comedy of panic, paranoia, madness and self-loathing, but her trick in the new film Bridesmaids is to remain composed even as her heart is shredded to confetti.
This is how you make a comedy, not with Seth Rogen just being himself and having people break into laughter for no reason, not with McLovin being a moron, but like THIS, with wit and charm and utter hilarity sewn into every seam of this perfect, yes, PERFECT movie. Chris O'Dowd and Kristen Wiig get special mentions, hoping for a stellar career for them both, they deserve it.
You owe it to yourself to watch this, especially for the food posioning scene in the bridal fitting store BWAHAHA i never laughed so hard in my life.
SEQUEL PLEASE lol.
This is probably one of THE funniest movies in years! Better than the first Hangover. It is raunchy, gross and revoltingly hilarious, it had me rolling on the floor laughing.
I rented this movie expecting a good laugh. I don't know why people are saying it's funny, it's just sad and depressing. The person I was watching this with left the room she though it was stupid and not worth watching.
