About the Movie

Return to the Center Stage phenomenon with new passions and partners in the amped-up, high-energy Center Stage: Turn It Up. All Kate Parker has ever wanted to do was perform with the American Ballet Academy. But when she doesn't get in, she learns that it takes more than just natural talent to succeed in the dance world. With a turn in a cutting-edge hip-hop club and the help of a handsome former hockey player-turned-dancer, she may yet manage to make her dreams come true. Peter Gallagher (TV's "The O.C.," Center Stage), Kenny Wormald (TV's "Dancelife"), Ethan Stiefel (Center Stage) and a cast of hot, up-and-coming stars rock to a new beat in this unmissable sensation!

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Attractive cast, predictable girl-lives-dream story and lots of great dancing. – Jim Schembri, The Age (Australia), Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: You feel sorry for the real-life dancers on screen here... – Jason Di Rosso, MovieTime, ABC Radio National, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Doesn't have a fraction of its predecessor's pizzazz. – Annette Basile, FILMINK (Australia), Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: It might be formulaic and predictable, but there's plenty of appeal in this energy-filled film about reaching for your dreams. Set in the world of dance, the story is as much about passion as it is about ballet and hip hop. – Louise Keller, Urban Cinefile, Jun 24, 2010

If you love dance, you will love this movie

If you love dance, you will love this movie. It certainly didn't get the attention is deserved. The characters are fun, beautiful, and the dance is exciting.

If you love it..

If you love dance then this movie is for you. Hip-hop to ballet back and forth works quite well for the main character. I love this movie a lot and recommend it for anyone who loves dance and even those classical ballet dancers. Ever dream you would be doing hip-hop? well this girl does. WATCH IT

When I first saw this movie on TV I said to myself...... "another dance movie?" . But because I was bored I said oh just give it a chance.... I LOVED IT!! It is a fresh new movie and it shows many different forms of dance which is really nice. It was not predictable, and had me waiting to see what would happen. The two main characters really connected and I felt that I and I'm sure many others could relate to the theme of searching for your dreams. great movie, great cast, great job!
