Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Fey, in particular, finds herself in the situation of a prima ballerina unaccountably dancing with the Rockettes. – David Denby, New Yorker, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: t's a funny movie and might snatch a few knowing nods from married couples with young children; at the very least, it's a consistently engaging, warmly silly adventure. – Brian Orndorf, Dark Horizons, Apr 5, 2011

Fresh: It's lively stuff with funny lines, droll cameos from Mark Wahlberg and James Franco, and a nice running gag about Jeanne Tripplehorn. – Peter Bradshaw, Guardian, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: The key to Date Night is to leave your brain at the door. You'll be amply rewarded for it, though it won't give you much to talk about on a date. – Quentin Clarke, Film4, Jun 24, 2010

A must watch!

One word simple as that:
FREAKING HILARIOUS
okay, 2 words :P

A Great Duo for Sure

This movie was really good; I got many laughs out of it and Steve Carell and Tina Fey were the perfect pair. If you don't normally watch shows/movies with Tina Fey(30 Rock, Baby Mama) and Steve Carell(The Office, Get Smart) you may not like the movie because you don't really get a sense of who they are. Obviously, they are both great comedians and I think it shows in this movie.

One of the best this year.

I have seen lots of movies in 2011, but this one, is one of the best I've seen so far. Date Night starring Steve Carell from "The Office" and Tina Fey from "30 Rock" have done an outstanding job with this film. You couldn't have asked for a better team. The plot of the movie was something new, but nothing too new. The setting and chain of events seemed so familiar, but it was truley a great thriller and comedy. After the restaurant, police chase, and the gunfights, you thought this movie couldn't get any crazier. Well, think again. The 1-2-3 trick doesn't always work on just little ones, I guess it works on grown men with guns as well. This was a hilarious and crazy hour and 40 minutes, but it was also one of the best.

I gave this movie a 4.5 out of 5 stars, which is the highest rating I ever gave a movie, but it deserved it. Great work. ★★★★☆
