Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: "Eastwood's got a feel for music (he composed the scores for most of his recent films). But he doesn't have a particular flair for musical staging." – Bob Mondello, NPR, Jun 20, 2014

Rotten: Christopher Walken plays a gangster who can fix anything; maybe he should have taken charge of the film. – Anthony Lane, New Yorker, Jun 30, 2014

Rotten: Jersey Boys comes to life only toward the end. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Jun 22, 2014

Fresh: The combination of... [Woody Allen & Clint Eastwood] has resulted in a Broadway adaptation that hums with vigour, sings with the capricious unpredictability of fate and fame, and does firm and lasting justice to the legacy of that vintage studio logo. – Eddie Cockrell, The Australian, Jul 9, 2014

A great film <3

I am SO in love with this movie!!! I wasn't expecting something so good when I went to the theatre but really, I adored it! I already knew some of Four Seasons/Frankie Valli's songs like "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)", "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Grease", but I just discovered more of those great artists and I can't stop to listen to it! The songs are good, the actors are excellent and the story is touchy. I just want to go back to the theatre to see it again!!! Not only I bought all Frankie Valli's hits, I will also buy the soundtrack of the film and the film itself. Just... Wow.

Feel Good Movie of the Summer

I was iffy about seeing this movie in the theatre, but because we were late for the movie we wanted to see, we chose Jersey Boys instead. Glad we did! I loved this movie! The story is beautiful and sad! The music goes without saying...timeless! Love that Clint thought out of the box and cast actors from the theatre productions instead of high priced Hollywood actors that cannot sing. It's just to bad it has been pulled out of the theaters so quickly, especially now that it is starting to catch on (word of mouth). If you like the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, you won't be disappointed. New life to some old classics!

Booo Rotten Tomatoes

I absolutely love this movie! Yes, ignore rotten tomatoes. They're just a bunch of hipsters putting fancy words together to sound cool.
