Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Horror films driven by ideas are thin on the ground, but behind the gory facade of Scott Leberecht's debut feature there ticks some cleverly assembled clockwork. – Robbie Collin, Daily Telegraph (UK), Jan 11, 2013

Fresh: Yet another tortured-emo vampire movie, but there's an attempt to inject a dose of plausible realism into proceedings, rather than Twilight's leaden coffee-table stylings. – Andrew Pulver, Guardian, Jan 10, 2013

Fresh: A bloody and well-acted vampire curio. – Kim Newman, Empire Magazine, Jan 7, 2013

Fresh: gives the tropes of the undead a moodily modern revamp. – Anton Bitel, Little White Lies, Sep 6, 2011

i give it an A for effort

but its still pretty low budget, kind of like a film school final project...

New angle, but slow moving

I like vampire movies and this one was a fresh new angle (not easy to do in the saturated market) - but overall the movie was slow moving & often jerky. Very little gore this is more an 'intellectual' movie ... more drama than horror. Wait for the price to go down before investing - it will wait.
