Fresh: Greg Camalier's debut feature offers a worthy if sometimes ponderous take on a significant slice of U.S. popular music history.
Fresh: Director Greg "Freddy" Camalier skillfully, unhurriedly unfurls a wealth of classic music-biz tales as told by a who's who of R&B, soul and rock 'n' roll royalty and various other players and purveyors.
Fresh: Even casual music fans will enjoy behind-the-hits doc.
Fresh: It's mandatory viewing for fans of the classic rock, soul and rhythm and blues of the 1960s and '70s.
Du bonbon / Candy
Un excellent documentaire pour les amateurs de musique, histoires tragiques, succès. J'ai vu le film au cinéma et j'ai été complètement enthousiasmée.
A very good documentary with the musical actors/artists, the musicians who were kids, the producer. I loved it so I bought the CD but I will buy the film, it is very good. I saw it at the theater and was completely amazed.
Bigger than Grohl's movie
Sound City was about the cool LA factor. This is about how the people shaped the music.
Great music, great cinematography, great viewing.
