About the Movie

Thirteen is the new twelve in the third terrific chapter of Oscar® winners George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh's criminal caper series. With a stellar cast of criminal cohorts (including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac and newcomers Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin), it doesn't matter if it's eleven, twelve or thirteen -- it all adds up to fun. So ... are you in or are you out?

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Though it takes a little while before it really takes off, this slick bauble of a movie qualifies as the best of the summer 'threequels" -- at least thus far. – Claudia Puig, USA Today, Sep 1, 2007

Fresh: An entertaining night out at the movies. Have some popcorn. – Tom Charity,, Jan 4, 2008

Fresh: This might be the first piece of escapism to have a whiff of public service at its heart. – Wesley Morris, Boston Globe, Jun 9, 2007

Rotten: Flat, abstruse, predictable and unable to raise your pulse rate higher than a blip on an EKG. – Rex Reed, New York Observer, Jun 20, 2007

I'm glad we finally have movies in the Canadian iTunes Store, but charging the same price as a physical DVD is just ridiculous. In fact, I can pick up the DVD for $18.99, which is higher quality, has extra features that are not included with the iTunes version, and can be lent to friends (not possible with DRM-protected iTunes movies). Think about it...why would anyone pay more for less? The $9.99 price point is reasonable; quite a few movies are set at that price, and I may consider buying some of those. But $19.99? You can't seriously expect anyone to pay that for a movie that isn't even a new release anymore. Just for the record, this was a fantastic movie. I would have given it four stars, but there is no other way to voice my complaint about the price. Let's just say it's worth four stars if you go buy the DVD in a retail store.
