About the Movie

When confronted with his mortality, twenty something Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson) impulsively buys a vintage motorcycle and sets off on a road trip that starts in Toronto and ends up on Vancouver Island in the town of Tofino. Humourus, profound and extremely moving, One Week uses the great Canadian landscape as the backdrop to the story of a man and his life’s journey. In the search for himself, he finds out what makes this country, and his life, so beautiful.

Customer Reviews

Canadiana to the core.

If you’re a proud Canadian, you will love this film, if you’re a fan of indie Canadian music, you will love this film, you know what? No matter what, you’ll just love this film. It’s simple, heart warming, and it leaves you with a drive to do something with yourself after you hear the question “what would you do if you knew that you only had one week to live.” I may be biased on many fronts, but I love this film and I will definitely put it on my list of favourite films to watch. Plus you get to see a fun little cameo from Joel Plaskett.

This is one of those movies that stays with you. It was about 2 weeks ago that I saw this and things keep occuring to me and reminding me of it. I wish someone I know had seen it so I could talk about it with them! This is a really enjoyable, sad, tragic, funny, honest movie which I will look forward to seeing again. FABULOUS soundtrack!
