As a result of irrational and unchecked human hunting, the world's shark population has decreased an astonishing 90%. In this true-life adventure, biologist and filmmaker Rob Stewart brings us closer to sharks than ever before. Surviving pirate boat rammings, gunboat chases, mafia espionage and battles with corrupt governments, Stewart risks his life to stop the slaughter of sharks and save our oceans and the very earth itself.

Changed Me

I had an overview, a jist, a hunch that things were amiss in our oceans; but I had no idea how ignorant I was. I am grateful I saw this movie when I did, as it changed my entire perspective and consumption of fish - I gave it up entirely. Rob Stewart is an inspiration an activist and moving as a story teller. A MUST SEE!

Word cannot express- watch it for yourself!

Wow, where do I even start? Sharkwater is such a gorgeous film and an incredibly captivating and exciting story/adventure. It gets better every time I watch it. If you are at all afraid of sharks, PLEASE watch this. If you have ever eaten sharkfin soup, PLEASE watch this. If you care at all about the environment or the oceans, you NEED to watch it, and then get everyone you know to watch it also. Rob does such an amazing job at showing the world what an incredible creature the shark is and what is happening to them in our oceans. Highly recommended!

this movie is AMAZING!!! everyone needs to see this! it will change how you perceive sharks!!! Nice work Rob!!! PS love that end scene in the speedo ;)
