Plot Summary

On the verge of giving up his powers for love, Superman (Reeve) is confronted by three super-criminals from his home planet who have escaped imprisonment and come to Earth with the same abilities as the man of steel. Imperious insurrectionist General Zod (Terence Stamp), seductive but sadistic Ursa (Sarah Douglas), and mute brute Non (Jack O'Halloran) challenge Superman to a cosmic battle for world supremacy--just as Superman and Lois Lane (Kidder) finally get romantically involved.

good

Watched it on tv and it is everything you want in a Superman movie. Scary and fun with a twist to the end....very good.

II tops I and I was the tops

Very few sequels do what Superman II did. It made you forget the blockbuster hit Superman: The Movie. I remember watching both of them in the theatre when they first came out — the joy and thrill of this movie is its repeat value. You can watch this movie a 100 times and it will still excite you.

A note for the young ones out there: these movies were done without CGI ... amazing isn't it?

nothing
