Plot Summary

New York cab driver Korben Dallas didn't mean to be a hero, but he just picked up the kind of fare that only comes along every five thousand years: A perfect beauty, a perfect being, a perfect weapon. Now, together, they must save the world. Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, and Gary Oldman star in acclaimed director Luc Besson's outrageous sci-fi adventure, an extravagantly styled tale of good against evil set in an unbelievable twenty-third century world.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Mr. Besson directs with ceaseless flamboyance and with an obvious enthusiasm for his film's comic book conceits. But the tone of The Fifth Element is often terribly shrill, especially when attention shifts to grating minor characters. – Janet Maslin, New York Times, Sep 16, 2009

Fresh: There's no doubt about it, when it comes to saving the world, Bruce Willis is your man. He does it with smarts and style, humor and courage. – Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times, Sep 16, 2009

Fresh: The Fifth Element has to be the most creative visualization since Tim Burton's first Batman in 1989. On top of that, it's a whole lot of fun. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: One of the great goofy movies -- a film so preposterous I wasn't surprised to discover it was written by a teenage boy. – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times, Jul 7, 2010

Brilliant Movie

Wonderful humour, great special effects and kooky characters create a brilliant tongue in cheek sci fi flick that you will find worth watching the fifth time as much as the first. In my personal top ten favorite movies of all time.

The most amazing movie ever!!!

After watching this movie for the first time several years ago, I became addicted. I am sure it's my favorite movie of all time. No matter how hard I try and think it's just acting, I can't. The actors sold it. The plot and overall movie was written by gods. I give it my two thumbs up and say atleast rent it, cause I know you'll be back to buy it!

Amazing Movie- The Diva

Love this movie, the cinematography, the script, and my favourite part The Diva!!!
