'Tis the season for love, laughter, and one of the most cherished stories of all time! Join Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and all the hilarious Muppets in this merry, magical version of Charles Dickens' classic tale. Academy Award® winner Michael Caine (Best Supporting Actor, 2000, The Cider House Rules; 1987, Hannah And Her Sisters) gives a performance that's anything but "bah, humbug!" as greedy, penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge. One fateful Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Together with kind, humble Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog) and his family, the Spirits open Scrooge's eyes -- and his heart -- to the true meaning of Christmas. Filled with original music and dazzling special effects, this restored and remastered 50th Anniversary Edition of The Muppet Christmas Carol will become a holiday tradition your family will treasure all the days of the year.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: There's no great show of wit or tunefulness here, and the ingenious cross-generational touches are fairly rare. But there is a lively kiddie version of the Dickens tale, one that very young viewers ought to understand.
Fresh: Nothing can really diminish the late Jim Henson's irresistibly appealing characters.
Rotten: The fit between sentiment and satire is not always a comfortable one and the more dedicated fans of either the story or the Muppets may leave theaters dissatisfied.
Fresh: Like all the Muppet movies, this one is a musical, with original songs by Paul Williams (my favorite is the early chain-rattling duet by the Marley brothers). It could have done with a few more songs than it has.
They cut out one of the songs! The love is gone! However I didn't like the song anyways, I just woulda liked a complete copy.
I cannot say enough about this wonderfule movie. I remember watching it for thee first time in 1992 when I was in Grade three and I though it was just great. The songs are great for kids and it is a great spin on the scrooge story. It's funny too!
Gotta Luv Rizzo the Rat
This is my favourite Christmas movie ever! It's hilarious and meaningful all at the same time. I love it! The soundtrack is pure genious, as is Rizzo and Gonzo's hilarious banter. Amazing!
