Rotten: Killer bees periodically interrupt the arch writing, stilted direction and ludicrous acting in Irwin Allen's disappointing and tired non-thriller. – Variety Staff, Variety, May 25, 2015

Bees! Bees! Millions of Bees!

It’s bad enough to bee great! There are so many moments in this flim (flimsy film) that are miraculous moments of awesomely awful movie moments: the lollipop schoolboy bee victim, the fantastic, fuc*ed-up flamethrower defence of Houston, the single best salvation of the world since the movie, The Crack in the World; and, every single line of dialogue spoken by Micheal Caine’s sunflower seed munching protagonist. This is one of the best worst movies of all time!
