About the Movie

Directed by Emilio Estevez, The Way is the story of one man's struggle to complete a physical and spiritual journey that his son has left behind. Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Mr. Estevez is both writer and director of this film, and also turns up in a small role, but he gives the spotlight to his father, who makes quite a lot out of a low-key story that could easily have degenerated into mush. – Neil Genzlinger, New York Times, Oct 6, 2011

Fresh: Open yourself up to this thoughtful, moving personal adventure and you're in for a uniquely memorable experience. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Oct 6, 2011

Rotten: The father-son dynamic is played just right, Tom's sightings of his deceased son arriving at key moments. If only that resonance carried into the rest of the story's episodic progression. – Sheri Linden, Los Angeles Times, Oct 6, 2011

Fresh: Estevez does embrace the spiritual and religious elements of his movie. But he's as interested in the journey as the destination. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, Oct 7, 2011

Great movie

Very inspiring !

This is a good film that gets you to look at your purpose....

The film is good. It is worth the watch. THIS IS NOT A ACTION FILM. The four characters who take a journey togetther for different reasons are ALL acted out extremly well which makes the film, entertaining, funny, sad, serious and in the end insperational. Live a life don't pick one.

Fabulous

What a great flick. Makes you really take an inner look.
