Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Water for Elephants may not be the best show on earth, but it's still quite a show. – Christine Champ, Film.com, Jun 6, 2011

Rotten: Supporting characters are too hastily sketched in, serving only to further the unsmooth course of true love. – Leah Rozen, TheWrap, Dec 6, 2011

Fresh: There's no doubting the luscious detail and feel for the period, but the love triangle that inevitable kicks in is a little too rote, even for those in a forgiving mood. – Jim Schembri, The Age (Australia), Jun 16, 2011

Rotten: The movie may feel at times like a put-on, but it is in fact entirely sincere. – Scott Foundas, Film Comment Magazine, May 11, 2011

Amazing

Amazing movie! So much love for animals. Robert shines as always!!!

Thought it would be too sad, re: the animals

However it wasn't. Two harsh seen's, that I had to cover my ears and shut my eyes- then it didn't disappoint! It was fantastic.

There is just something about this movie...

I have to say this movie is excellent and very well made. The book is one of my all time favorites, and though I missed Jankowski's retirement home antics, I find non book fans would have been confused by it. The score is simply fantastic, and the acting is phenomenal. For all of you who say Robert Pattinson can't act and the Twilight movies are terrible, well, you're right. He's a terrible actor in those movies because they're terrible to begin with. You can't have something from nothing. But he is truly talented, watching this movie (and Remember Me) will show you that. Give this movie a chance, totally worth a rent and even a buy if you're a huge fan like me.
