Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote, who formed the band formerly known as Deers in 2011, share a love for fuzzy garage pop, audacious girl groups, seductive R&B, and heady hip-hop. Like Hinds itself, the band's many indie influences often cloak serious emotional concerns in insouciantly sunny, nose-thumbing sounds.
