The history of Celtic Football Club is littered with tales and ballads in either celebration or mourning of the highs and lows, triumphs and tragedies, successes and failures of a hundred and twenty-plus years of roller-coaster competition. No club has a richer cultural heritage of fact, fantasy, myth and legend, of poetry, song and story than the famous Glasgow Celtic. Arguably the highest high of all was the unprecedented season of 1966/67, the glorious so-called “Season in the Sun”, which culminated in that euphoric day in Lisbon when ‘The Celtic’ conquered the very peak of European club football by defeating Inter Milan 2-1 to become European Champions at first time of asking. This podcast is a compilation of spoken highlights of that and other memorable moments in Celtic history, which are guaranteed to warm the heart of any Celtic-minded soul.
