The podcast is definitely targeting a younger crowd. I am in my mid 30s and I can't get around the juvenile discussion. I will stick with Canadaland, and skip this podcast. I was expecting more, maybe too much.

(Disclosure: I'm a Canadaland backer and think the "Original" show with Jesse Brown is doing some really important work.)

I was hopeful that this show would do likewise but the cheap gags and general buffoonery that the hosts go in for makes it feel like more of Saturday morning kids show that one that looks at potentially important issues.

I'm sorry if this sounds a little "po-faced" but its hard to take it seriously.....

Having followed them both on Twitter, I know Desmond and Andray are very engaged and knowledgable guys. That's why I've been surprised and disappointed through the first bunch of episodes, because their schtick appears to be playing naïve in order to better relate to their audience (who they must think are also politically unsophisticated and naîve). It doesn't work for me. Maybe the problem is my expectations, and not the show itself, but I can't help but think of how much insight they're withholding from the audience.
